PREPARATION

Summit participants should confirm their attendance by sending the following to Walter Poleman or Chris Nytch by June 30, 2012:
  • Contact information and a short (~100 words) bio
  • Itineraries for arrival and departure flights
  • Dietary restrictions and/or other needs relevant to food preparation and housing on the UVM campus
  • Links to relevant websites and readings to include on the group list

Each participating organization should come prepared to share a short presentation (10-15 minutes in English) about their local geography and the place-based work they are currently engaged in. Multi-media facilities will be available for visual and audio display.

Finally, we encourage participants to reflect prior to the Summit on the group discussion topics outlined in the schedule, so as to arrive ready for dialogue about both their specific geographies and the network as a whole. We recognize that we will not have time to cover all of the questions presented here, and will hone the list of priorities during the Friday evening group conversation. Any additional comments or discussion suggestions are welcome.
